ultraman-distance of 515km
UMUK is a three-day staged triathlon over the traditional ultraman-distance of 515km, consisting of:
Day 1
10km swim followed
by 145km bike
Day 2
275km bike
Day 3
85km double marathon run
DATES
Friday 03rd September to Sunday 05th September 2027.
LOCATION
Our event HQ is located in Betws-y-Coed.
Pre-race ‘meet and greet’ will take place in Betws-y-Coed (venue TBC).
With the exception of Day 1, which starts at Lake Bala (Llyn Tegid), all other stages start and finish at Race HQ.
Registration and event briefing will be done on-line.

CUT OFFS
Each day will have a 12 hour cut off, with the swim stage having a cut off of 6 hours.

HOW DO I ENTER?
Entry to UMUK 515 is by invitation only. Organisers will select and invite a maximum of 40 athletes on a first come, first served basis as the applications are received and if otherwise qualified. The selection of invitees will be based upon the experience, qualifications and criteria met for each applicant.
It is recommended that the applicant will have completed at least one iron distance race within the previous 18 months of the event being applied for. Other ultra-distance events are also considered as qualifiers assuming they have distances equal to or greater than iron distances. Other solo long distance events are considered if it is deemed they require the planning and training that would be of benefit to the athlete doing UMUK 515.
