UMUK Relay Race

Take on the full 515km ultraman distance as a team. UMUK Team Relay is a three-day staged triathlon through the stunning, brutal landscapes of North Wales. It’s a great introduction to multi-day racing and a chance to recce the UMUK 515 courses.

Day 1: 10km swim at Lake Bala + 145km bike
Day 2: 275km bike
Day 3: 85km double marathon run

Dates: 3–5 September 2027 | Race HQ: Betws-y-Coed

Each team has three members: one races while the other two crew, navigating the course and handling nutrition. You choose how to split the race. One athlete could do all of Day 1, or you could swap every kilometre. Good tactics and logistics are key. Each day is one big scenic loop with a 12-hour cut-off, and there are no aid stations. Your entry includes GPS tracking, full water safety cover, athlete packs, event T-shirts, finisher’s medals and T-shirts, event photography and bike tech support.

Entry is by invitation only, and up to 10 teams are selected on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend that applicants have finished at least one iron-distance race in the last 18 months.

I acknowledge that a triathlon is an extreme test of a person’s physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. I HEREBY ASSUME THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN TRIATHLONS AND UMUK, IN PARTICULAR. I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in these events, and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person. I acknowledge that my statements on this AWRL are being accepted by Ultraman UK Limitedand are being relied upon by Ultraman UK Limitedand the various race sponsors, organizers and administrators in permitting me to participate in UMUK.

In allowing me to participate in UMUK, I hereby take the following action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns:

a) I AGREE to abide by the Competitive Rules, including the Medical Control Rules, as they may be amended from time to time, and I acknowledge that my participation may be revoked or suspended for violation of the Competitive Rules;

b) I WAIVE, RELEASE, DISCHARGE from any and all claims or liabilities for death, personal injury, property damage, theft or damages of any kind, which arise out of or relate to my participation in, or my travelling to and from UMUK event, THE FOLLOWING PERSONS OR ENTITIES: event sponsors, race directors, event producers, volunteers, all counties or localities in which events or segments of events are held, and the officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents of any of the above;

c) I AGREE NOT TO SUE any of the persons or entities mentioned above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released or discharged herein; and

d) I INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the persons or entities mentioned above from any claims made or liabilities assessed against them as a result of my actions during UMUK.

I HEREBY AFFIRM THAT I WILL BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT THE START OF UMUK 2027, I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I UNDERSTAND THE CONTENTS WITHIN.
